Not only will the water make you feel full, it will also help your body flush out toxins, which could help you better digest the foods you've consumed all day. If water doesn't satisfy you, try drinking a glass of unsweetened juice. To eliminate high-calorie snacks but still satisfy a sweet tooth, drink a cup of hot chocolate made with nonfat or low-fat milk.

Go for a Walk.

To get your mind off food, try taking a short walk after dinner. Listening to soothing music, reading a book, doing a crossword puzzle, or taking a warm bath could also help distract you from thinking about food.
